Events that have taken places over the summer

Millie’s Mark

Millie’s Mark is awarded as a special endorsement to childcare providers that go above and beyond by having 100% of staff trained in paediatric first aid, and ensuring that everything learned during the course is kept alive and in the forefront of practioners’ minds so that they are confident, ready and capable. For further information please visit their website at As a result we will be celebrating on Friday 20th October 2017 at 2pm with a tea party. All children and parents are welcome please wear something pink or purple.

New Arrival

Tara and Adam’s new baby girl arrived on Tuesday 5th September 2017, she weighted 7lb 14oz. She is called Emilia Evie Richards.  I am sure you will all join us in send congratulations and best wishes.

We now have a Facebook page – Clopton Nursery – which anyone can ask to join.  We will be sharing general information, special offers for nursery sessions, information about breakfast, after school and holiday club spaces etc.  We also have a closed ‘Clopton Nursery Parents’ group which is only open to parents of children at the nursery itself (not including Clubs).  As it is a closed group we will be able to share stories of what the children have been doing, put up photos of the children (depending on parent permissions), send out reminders, etc.  We also hope this will also give parents the opportunity to communicate with us and each other.

Over the last few months we have been working on our website, the site is currently unavailable. Sorry if this has caused anyone any inconvenience.

Payment of Invoice

As a charity, we rely on prompt payment of our invoices.  Therefore, your support in ensuring that invoices are paid within 7 days of issue is essential.  We will be reintroducing late payment fees from October 2017.  This means an additional charge of £10 will be added to any account that has not been paid within 7 days.  Please contact the office if you have any queries and again we thank you for your continued support.

30 Hours Funding

Due to the increased entitlement for qualifying parents of 30 hours Clopton Nursery is now full, until September 2018, therefore if you think you are eligible for this addition entitlement either during this academic year or next year can you please inform Emma or Sarah as soon as possible so that we can start to plan availability for the future.

If you wish to add or amend existing sessions for this year, please speak to us, as we have started a waiting list.

New Trustees

As you know Clopton Nursery is a charity run setting that relies on the good well of our volunteer board of Trustees. Over the years the number of Trustees has declined and we are now able to recruit new members so therefore if you would like to meet new friends, learn new skills or give something back to your local community please speak to Sarah for more information.

Christmas Fayre

Clopton Nursery will be having a stall at the school’s Christmas Fayre (Date to Follow). Please can you donate a gift suitable for a child or adult in a sealed gift bag by Friday 17th November 2017. Thank you

All money raised at the event will be used to purchase equipment and resources for the children.
