Welcome To The Funding

Clopton Nursery Trust offers free childcare for 15 hours per week for children who qualify for Nursery Education Funding. Each of our sessions is three hours; therefore from the term after your child’s third birthday (providing spaces are available) your child can attend for 5 free sessions, which can either be mornings, afternoons or full days (2 sessions).  If your child attends for a full day an additional charge is made to cover the staffing of Lunch club, children are provided with a nutritious hot lunch or you can choose to send in a packed lunch.

An additional 15 hours of free childcare may also be available to children who qualify under the 30 hours scheme.  For further information or to check eligibility please visit If you are eligible, you will be provided with a code which will need to be given to the nursery before you are able to access the free childcare.  If for any reason the code becomes invalid, you will be responsible for any fees incurred.

We also offer 15 hours per week free places to children aged 2 years who qualify for 2help funding.  You can check your eligibility here If you think you may meet the required criteria please speak to the Nursery Manager.

As part of your entitlement to Nursery Education Funding, Warwickshire County Council requires us to complete a headcount every term.  The headcount date set by the department for children, schools and families (DCSF) has now changed and is towards the end of the first half term instead of the beginning of the term.  Should your child leave before this date you will be liable for the fees incurred up to and including the date your child leaves.

Quote from Warwickshire County Council:

“..…if a child leaves before Headcount date they cannot be included in the numbers and we cannot pay for any hours they have already attended.  Please ensure that parents are aware of this as they will be responsible for paying for these hours”.

Please note places are limited and we work on a first come first serve basis.  If you think that you child may be eligible for free childcare in the future, talk to us about reserving a place for them as soon as you can.
